Though not everyone is cut out to be a Martial Arts Fighter, there are numerous benefits to be gained from the training and conditioning involved in this style of fighting. Martial Arts training is an assortment of cardio workouts combined with fighting techniques. However, to make sure that you are training safely it is important to use the proper equipment and gear.

Fighting Attire

You will rarely see someone fighting in baggy pants or a loose t-shirt that is practically falling off them. Nor will you see them fighting in clothes that are skin tight. It is better to put on fighter shorts that fit well – which are not on the verge of falling off. Likewise choose a t-shirt that fits well – that can soak up your sweat and cool you down.

Fight Gear

The kind of fight gear you choose is very important. Good equipment will protect you while you are training or sparring with other fighters. Many times you will find yourself hitting pads or sparring with other adversaries during practices. Because of this you must protect both your hands and feet. For your feet, you can buy ceretain foot pads that are put on like slippers and that extend over the tops of your feet.

For your hands you can buy hand wraps and gloves. First you wind the fabric around both hands before setting on your MMA gloves. This will give you extra protection and keep your hands and fingers safe from injury.
