The Ultimate Fighting Championship is one of the fastest growing sports in terms of popularity, and the longer it continues the more guys want to join up and the more gamblers want to watch fights and place their bets.
Reality TV shows that set champion UFC fighters up against one another with a bunch of rookie wannabe fighters have clearly done nothing to damage the growing interest in the sport, and although the gambling population is slowly becoming aware of the UFC as an option, it can be difficult to ascertain just how a bet is placed on these fights because bookmakers don’t tend to run the normal win/lose odds on them.
UFC fights are usually drawn up by the bookmakers with moneylines instead of your average 18/1 odds. This is done because in so many UFC fights there is a clear favourite and a clear amateur, hoping for a win but unlikely to succeed.
If the odds were laid out according to expectations of the fight, a huge percentage of bettors would simply bet on the favourite and all of them would be winners. Not only is this completely un-thrilling, but it means that as bets on the favourite pour in before the fight, the odds are greater and greater in his favour until there is almost nothing to gain off the win for anyone except big spenders. And us average gamblers don’t usually want to bet our life savings, even on a sure thing. To combat this trend, the moneyline is brought in for betting on UFC fights.
A moneyline is really just another way to place the odds without hugely favouring one fighter over another. Instead of 3/1 odds or some such number, one fighter will be listed with a negative number and the other with a positive number. Let’s say two fighters were posted with a moneyline of -140 and +110; if you bet on the favourite with the negative number, you will have to spend 140 pounds to win 100 pounds. Conversely, if you bet on the underdog at +110, then your 100 pounds bet could win you 110 pounds.
The moneylines will fluctuate in the hours and days preceding the fight because the bookmaker doesn’t want the bettors to start favouring either fighter; however the bet you take out is fixed and you deal with the specific moneyline that was posted when you gave the bookmaker your money.
Because the UFC is a growing industry both within the sports world and the betting world, it can be tough to find bookmakers with any odds posted for them at all, moneyline or otherwise. If you want to bet online, however, the internet is the place to find your fight and cash in on your favourites.
Are you another faving fan of the mixed martial arts scene? Many people around the world love MMA and the likes of Chuck Liddell, Rashad Evans, Ken Shamrock, and Diego Sanchez but don’t get to enjoy their favorite fighters all the time. Why you ask? Many reasons. They could live outside the country, work during the time fights come on, not be able to afford digital cable, or live in an area that doesn’t provide pay per view service. For these people watching the UFC online is an option, and thanks to technology they can now do this. Here’s how.
Watching MMA fights online is a relatively new concept but not difficult at all to get to work. You simply need to connect to the stream of the fight. Connecting to the stream is not as difficult as it sounds either. You just need software with the location of the streams in it so you can connect and enjoy your program. Some of these Digital TV on PC programs have thousands of channels, some have a few. All of them work, however sometimes it might take a while to find the stream you want if they aren’t listed in alphabetical order due to how many streams there are on these programs.
The software is a simple on time download. Go to the vendors secure site, pay with Paypal or Credit card, and download it. After you download it, install it and open it up. You can then view the streams and go through them. There will either be a sports or MMA channel where you can watch the UFC fights. It’s a really simple process and the company offers a money back guarantee in the rare case that it doesn’t work with your computer.

Have you heard of the Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC?
Well, it is one of the most popular Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports nowadays wherein the fighters are free to use any points of the body to hit or to knock out one’s opponent. UFC fights happen inside the “Octagon” with referee. The Octagon is the eight-sided rink enclosed by steel wires to support the fighters during the fight.
Since UFC is another branch of MMA, everyone who joins must have what it takes to knock out or be knocked out by any opponent. Now, if you want to become a UFC fighter you must have the following; agility and force, strength and flexibility. Cardiovascular training and conditioning must be undergone as well as constant workouts to ensure longer stamina and best athletic performances.
Of course, not everyone is gifted with the body and ability of a fighter. That is why they made UFC as legal sports and have television coverage to bring entertainment to the people who just love watching the arts of fighting. Some of the disciplines used in UFC are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Greco Roman Wrestling, Muai Thai, Karate and Judo; it is enjoyable to watch every technique properly executed.
UFC fight is not always about strength, it is about techniques, endurance and style. If you have noticed, everyone has his own style even if they are in the same discipline. It is because one of the ways to win is to surprise the opponent with a different style which he had never seen before in his fighting career. Thus, if you watch these fights, you will subconsciously feel the rush to knock someone down.

UFC 116 is scheduled for July 3rd and will include a championship fight with Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin. Shane Carwin has yet to lose a fight and finished all his opponents in the first round, could this be the bout where he earns his first defeat? Carwin has been waiting for this fight since UFC 104, I think he is probably well prepared and ready to rock Brock Lesnar’s world. He took down Frank Mir at UFC 11 to get to the fight in the first round. The fight against Frank Mir was his longest yet at 3:43.Brock Lesnar is back from his illness and ready to fight. He is defending his belt, and at UFC 111 said “It was a good fight, but he’s wearing a belt that’s a make believe belt, I’ve got the real championship belt.”. He has a lot to fight for and will definitely be bringing it all to the octagon on July 3rd. Brock has only lost one fight and may be able to take Shane Carwin on endurance since he has going to decision in a fight before. I cant wait for this title fight, title fights are always hard fights because these guys have something to fight for. Watch UFC 116.It will be interesting to see how many rounds these heavyweights get to and if the fight ends in KO, submission or decision. With these two heavyweights swinging out there, there is going to be some serious damage. If the fight doesn’t end in a knockout I will be amazed. The other fights of UFC 116 should be fun to watch as well, lots of different weight classes facing off including the Middleweight Class, Welterweight Class, Light Heavyweight Class and Lightweight Class. Cant wait until July 3rd to see all these awesome fights! Watch UFC 116.
