UFC 101 on Dish Network
UFC 101 is Dish Network Pay per View. Set you HD DVR to record not only the Main event with BJ Penn, taking on Kenny Florian, but the pound for pound best fighter Anderson Silva move up to 205 to take on Fan favorite Forrest Griffin. Anderson Silva who has beaten everyone in The middleweight class that poses any kind of threat will move up to 205 to find some competition in Griffin. Silva not only is looking for competition in MMA, but also has a dream to Box Roy Jones JR. Lets take one step at a time though. Anderson is a very impressive fighter with unbelievable striking ability not only with his hands but his Knees, are some of the most powerful I have seen. With this sort of attack you can’t help but think that Griffin may be heading down the rankings in the light heavy weight class with a loss. BUT, Forrest Griffin is no joke; he has proven to us time and again that you cannot count him out of any fight. He will stand and fight anyone you put in front of him and use every ounce of his heart to try to win. Defeating great fighters like Quinton Rampage Jackson, and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Griffin has proven himself to be among the top fighters in MMA. Couple that with the fact that he does not seemed to be phased by the sight of his own blood, and seems to enjoy pain when being punched in the face, hey this may be a perfect combination to end Silva’s Win Streak. Either way is going to be a great night of fighting. There is sure to be lots of Blood, lots of heart, a one winner at the end of the fight. Who it will be, this is a tough one to call, in my opinion I would have to go with Anderson Silva. Now the main event of that evening, BJ Penn vs. Kenny Florian, sorry Kenny, BJ is going to win this fight. He has been around a long time has fought the best fighters, and is as well rounded a fighter there is. I think this one ends by submission say 3rd round. As a side note, with the strike force signing of Fedor, I am beginning to think that he just does not want to fight the best Heavyweight challengers. He is a great fighter, probably the best heavyweight and the maybe the one man who can take the belt from Brock Lesnar. So why not try? I guess We will have to wait until the folding of Strike Force when there is no where else to fight, Fedor may have no choice but to come to fight the best or retire leaving the unanswered question could he have been the man to take down the mountain of Brock Lesnar? We may never know, but what we will know is who is going to be victorious on Dish Network Pay per View. Remember to DVR this event.By: Frank Bilotta
